Day 1 ~ San Jose
International flight arrival into San Jose, Costa Rica.
We will greet you at the airport and provide a private transfer to a deluxe mountain lodge near the village of Bajas del Toro for 3 nights.
Suggested accommodations:* A Riverside Suite at El Silencio Resort features a King bed, 2 twin day-beds, private outdoor whirlpool, deck with rocking chairs, free Wi-Fi. Riverside Suites are conveniently located near the Main Lodge and restaurant, yet close enough to relax with the sound of whispering waters from the river.

Day 2 & 3 ~ Jungle Adventures
Your personal Eco-Concierge will assist you in planning activities throughout the stay here.
Included with your package is a forest immersion hike & tree-planting activity.
Additional a la carte adventures available: horseback riding, night creature hike, chocolate & coffee tours, wine tasting, oxcart painting, waterfall hike, river rafting, zip line and more!
Day 4 ~ Pacific Coast
After breakfast, you will depart from the mountain resort with your private guide who will take you south, to the beautiful Pacific coast. Along the way, you will stop for a short excursion. The first part of the stop consists of a boat ride on the Tarcoles River to spot crocodiles, birds, and other wildlife. Then, visit a private cattle ranch and nature reserve for a thrilling canopy tour. After lunch (included), continue the drive to your hotel where your family will enjoy 3 nights at a luxury beachfront resort located near the Manuel Antonio National Park entrance.
Suggested accommodations:* An Ocean Breeze Suite at Arenas del Mar features a King bed, pull out sofa & roll-away (on request). Other comfort amenities include air conditioning and ceiling fan, a 300 sq ft deck (facing the ocean through the rainforest) with private tiled tub and day-bed (on the deck), living area with kitchenette (dining table, coffee maker & small refrigerator), spacious bathrooms, flat-screen cable TV & DVD player, and free wi-fi.

Day 5 ~ Manuel Antonio
Private guided nature walk through Manuel Antonio National Park. Watch for sloths and monkeys the tree canopy and listen to the songs of the various birds. Your guide will tell you about the history, flora and fauna during this easy nature walk. Snacks and refreshments are included along the tour. Bring (or wear) your bathing suit to enjoy the best beach in the area, as you may remain in the National Park for the remainder of the day after the tour.
Day 6 & 7 ~ Beach & Leisure
Enjoy these days exploring the area at your leisure. Play in the sand and surf of the Pacific ocean, cool off in the resort pool, take a nature hike, or book another adventure excursion. Kayaking, horseback riding, white water rafting and more!
Included with your package is a tortilla making lesson with a local senora and “being green” tour at the hotel.
Day 8 ~ San Jose – Departure
Wake to your final sunrise on the beach and say good-bye to the monkeys and iguanas. GL Tours will arrange private transfer to San Jose International airport in time for your return flights home.
