THE GREAT CHILEAN WINE ESCAPE

Join us on one of our very special private tours as we explore the wine country of Chile during harvest time. Set against a backdrop of the imposing Andes Mountains and broad, fertile valleys, prominent vineyards produce some of the finest wines in the world. The wineries we visit are unsurpassed in charm, elegance and grandeur, making the wine visits and tastings unique and memorable.

Whether you’re a wine and culinary aficionado or you simply enjoy wine tastings and good food, experiencing the wine regions of Chile and Argentina affords the opportunity to sample superb wines and enjoy marvelous dining in breathtaking settings. Add several top-notch non-vineyard restaurants to your tour and your culinary adventure will be a feast to remember.
CHILE
There are ten demarcated wine regions in Chile. The cooler, largely coastal regions like the Casablanca Valley, produce white wines, mainly Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The warmer, generally arid regions, are best suited for red wine production. The Colchagua Valley stands out as the zone par excellence for the Carmenere variety and remarkable Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.
ARGENTINA
The "Wine Country" of Argentina is known locally as "Cuyo," from the Mapuche word meaning "Country of Sand." Stretching east from the highest Andes to hot dry plains with lush oases, the valleys between the provinces of Mendoza, San Juan and La Rioja produce some of Argentina's most spectacular natural beauty and first class wines. The hot climate around Mendoza favors reds, and Argentinean strong and fruity Malbecs, rightly famed in international wine circles, can be outstanding.
