CULTURE & HISTORY
From the Amazon jungle regions of the north to Lake Titicaca in the south, Peru is filled with a rich culture and history.
Cusco is one of the most ancient cities on the continent. Ruins, religious festivities and outstanding churches, make Cuzco a fascinating city to stay in while visiting Machu Picchu and other nearby Inca sites.
The city of Puno, on the edge of Lake Titicaca was the home of the Tiahuanaco culture many thousands of years ago. The airport at nearby Juliaca makes this part of Peru easily reached from either Cuzco or Lima. Titicaca is home to the floating Uros Islands which offers visitors the chance to see villagers fishing with rustic nets and living in reed huts.

RUINS
Peru is most famous for the mysterious and mystical Inca site of Machu Picchu.

BIRDING & WILDLIFE
Peru's Amazon region includes the Tambopata National Reserve, home to the famous macaw clay lick located close to the Bolivian border and a short flight from Cuzco. This large diverse area has created a paradise of wildlife.
The Amazon region near Iquitos also offers unsurpassed wildlife viewing possibilities.
Here you can find luxury combined with the adventure of fishing for piranha, looking for pink dolphins and hiking at night to find phosphorescent fungi.
