Panama City

San Blas Islands
The Kuna Indians have ruled this autonomous region since the 1950's. Fly from Panama City to one of several airstrips for a night or two at one of the small, basic lodges to experience the culture of the Kuna. During your stay you can snorkel, explore the jungle on the mainland, and visit one of the villages to see how the Kuna live. Molas, the traditional handmade textile, made and worn by the Kuna women, are world famous and are sold throughout Panama, here you can purchase one directly from the artisan. |
Bocas del Toro
Bocas Del Toro is a beautiful group of small islands, about an hour's flight from Panama City. The islands of Bocas del Toro offer visitors beautiful beaches, forests, mangrove channels and the Bastimentos National Marine Park.
The town of Bocas Del Toro on Isla Colon is the center of activity. A number of small hotels, pensions, and restaurants can be found in town and in the surrounding area, along with shops selling most of all that you will need during your stay.
