1 |
Arrival in Guatemala
City and transfer to Antigua in the central highlands,
1 hour from Guatemala City. Antigua is famous for its
well-preserved Spanish architecture as well as a number
of spectacular ruins of colonial churches. The town is
alive with handicraft shops and street vendors.

Free day explore the town of Antigua with
its many shops and historical sites. |

3 |
Travel with your guide
from Antigua to Chichicastenango and Lake Atitlan.
“Chichi" is a colorful market town in the highlands,
less than 1 hour from Lake Atitlan. Market days are Thursday
and Sunday. Chichi has 2 churches on opposite ends of
the market, showing a blend of Catholicism and traditional
Mayan religion. Overnight at Hotel Atitlan in Panajachel.

| Day 4 |
Enjoy a boat tour on Lake Atitlan, famous
for its natural beauty and characterized by colorful Mayan
villages that dot the lake. The lake is surrounded by
3 traditionally shaped volcanoes formed by a collapsed
volcano cone and is the deepest lake in central America.
Visit the village of San Juan La Laguna, where you will
have a cultural tour. Overnight Hotel Atitlan.

5 |
Drive with your guide
from Lake Atitlan to visit the Mayan ruins of Iximche
Continue to Guatemala City where you will overnight.

| Day 6 |
Travel approximately 4 hours from Guatemala
City to Rio Dulce, stopping on the way at the archaeological
site of Quirigua. Quirigua is one of the smaller Mayan
sites, but also one of the most notable due to the artistry
of its stelae, which Mayan rulers commissioned to commemorate
important political and dynastic events. Nowadays, the
temples and palaces lie in ruins around the pleasant green
park that once was the great plaza of Quirigua and archaeologists
are only now piecing them back together. Overnight in

7 |
Enjoy a boat tour on
the Rio Dulce river, visiting the Caribbean village of
Livingston and the surroundings. Overnight in the Rio
Dulce area |

8 |
Transfer from Rio Dulce
to Flores, an approximate 3 ½ hour drive to visit
to the archaeological site of Yaxha , including the sunset
from one of the temples.

9 |
Full day visit to Tika
National Park. Tikal was one of the more important Mayan
centers of its time. A lot of the site has been excavated
making this an extremely interesting and educational excursion.

10 |
Transfer to the Flores
airport for a flight to Guatamala City and connect to
the international flight. |

the Mayan ruins at Tikal National Park in Guatemala. Your

Enjoy the sunrise from the top of the most
spectacular ruins in Central America. Transfer to Flores
for flight to Ambergris Caye, Belize. Greeting upon arrival
and transfer via golf cart to your beachfront accommodations
for the next three nights.

6-7 |
Enjoy the beach and the
world's second largest reef located just minutes from
the shore of Ambergris Caye. Explore the village of San
Pedro. Very casual and laid- back, tourists and locals
travel by golf cart, bicycle and on foot down brick streets
lined with cafes, gift shops, and dive & tour centers.
Inland jungle tours, fishing and snorkeling can be arranged
for you. |

Transfer via golf cart to the airstrip
for a short flight to Belize city.
Connect with return flights home. |
