Chichicastenango, known as “Chichi” to the locals, is a colorful market town in the highlands, less than 1 hour from Lake Atitlan. It is flanked by two churches on opposite ends showing a blend of Catholicism and traditional Mayan religion.

Antigua is a charming city in the central highlands, 1 hour from Guatemala City. It is famous for its well-preserved Spanish architecture as well as a number of spectacular ruins of colonial churches. The town is alive with handicraft shops and street vendors.
