BELIZE
For water enthusiasts, the Cayes have it all. Belize is best known as a world class dive site because of its proximity to the Belize Barrier Reef but there are other great water activities available here. Sports such as windsurfing, snorkeling, fishing, and manatee watching are easily booked through the dive shops on Ambergris Caye.
For those staying inland, cave tubing and canoeing are extremely popular.

CHILE
The Maipo River, just one and a half hours from Santiago, offers white water rafting on class III and IV rapids. Just an hour and a half from Santiago, this makes a nice day trip from the city. The Futaleufu River in Patagonia has some of the best white water rafting in South America. The upper Futa has Class II rapids for half-day family fun, kayaking and fly fishing. The Infiero Gorge portion offers exciting Class IIII/IV for more experienced rafters. |
COSTA
RICA
Many people travel to Costa Rica just for the exciting white water rafting found there.
There are rivers and rapids suitable for most ages and skills, and many find it a highlight of their trip.
Steady winds sweep across Lake Arenal from mid-December through May, Costa Rica's dry season. These steady winds draw windsurfing enthusiasts from the U.S., Canada and Europe to this beautiful 22 mile long lake.
Canoeing and kayaking are popular on both the Pacific coast at Manuel Antonio National Park and the Osa Peninsula areas. Surfers have long traveled to the Tamarindo Beach area for consistant year round surfing. Costa Rica has many miles of Pacific coastline making it ideal for the surfing enthusiast.

ECUADOR
The Galapagos Islands offer more than the well known wildlife encounters. It is also possible to snorkel and dive while cruising the islands. Snorkeling equipment is available on most vessels while diving does need to be planned in advance on a boat properly equipped with a dive master and equipment. |
HONDURAS
In addition to diving on the reef at Roatan, Honduras also offers great kayaking, rafting, whale watching and a dolphin encounter program. |
