BOLIVIA
Lake Titicaca is considered holy by the Indians of Bolivia who believe civilization started on the island of Isla del Sol. The lake is on many travelers top 10 and will introduce the visitor to examples of local culture and folklore.

Traveling throughout Bolivia, you will find many examples of Spanish colonial architecture, local cuisine, music and handicrafts.
GUATEMALA
Guatemala is a country with a rich and varied cultural heritage. The indigenous population speak a Mayan language and follow traditional religious customs. These natives produce highly regarded textiles and crafts.

The center of the ancient Mayan culture was located in the Peten Region of Guatemala.

No trip to Guatemala is complete without a visit to the would famous ruins at Tikal.

Tikal, along with the colorful traditions of the various ethnic groups make Guatelmala a land rich in history and culture.
PERU
From the Amazon jungle regions of the North to the world's highest navigable lake, Titicaca, in the South, Peru is filled with culture, a rich history and unbelievable wonders.

Cusco / Machu Picchu
Cusco is considered one of the most ancient cities of the continent. The name in the Quechua language means "the earth's navel". Most visitors to Peru pass through Cuzco enroute to one of the most important ancient sites in the world, Machu Picchu. Ruins, religious festivities and outstanding churches, make Cuzco a fascinating city to stay in while visiting Machu Picchu and other nearby Inca sites.

Puno
The city of Puno, on the edge of Lake Titicaca is considered the Folk Capital of America because of its 300 typical dances. Puno was also the home of the Tiahuanaco culture many thousands of years ago. The airport at nearby Juliaca makes this part of Peru easily reached from either Cuzco or Lima. Lake Titicaca connects Peru and Bolivia and is one of the most important lakes in South America. The lake is home to the floating Uros Islands which offers visitors the chance to see villagers fishing with rustic nets and living in reed huts.

Ica
Ica is an oasis in the middle of the desert plains in the south of Peru. Nearby is the famous site of the mysterious Nazca Lines.

Iquitos
On the bank of the Amazon River lies Iquitos, gateway to the largest reserve in Peru. Here one can interact with the native communities of this jungle region and experience a unique adventure at a jungle lodge.
ARGENTINA
The Tango is the best-known aspect of Argentinean popular culture, both the dance and the music. Very few tourists leave Argentina without seeing one of the legendary Tango shows.

While Argentina doesn't have the pre-Columbian monuments of Peru, it does have some notable Spanish colonial architecture in cities such as Salta and Tucuman.
PANAMA
Panama is most famous for the engineering marvel, the Panama Canal but there is much more in Panama than just the canal.

The Kuna Indians of the San Blas Islands are colorful and enterprising. The molas made by the Kuna women are world famous and are sold throughout Panama. You can also visit this autonomous region and observe the Kuna culture firsthand and purchase a mola directly from the artisan.

The Embera Tribe is from the Darien rainforest region of Panama. Although they now live in a modern village, they once lived a very primitive life in the rainforest. Considered master artisans, this tribe makes beautiful baskets and woodcarvings. You can easily visit a village on a day trip from Panama City.
