The Patagonian Atlantic
|
 |
| |
| Extending from the Atlantic
Ocean to the Andes Mountains, this special strip of land consists of
rugged coasts outlined by gulfs, bays, estuaries and vast grassy steppes
that pierce into the central plateau. Impressive mammals and sea birds
spend certain seasons on the rough coasts of Patagonia. Colonies of sea
lions play on the islets and sandbanks. |

Elephant seals have the only continental enclave in
the world and the largest colony of Magellan penguins in the world nest
at Punta Tombo. Patagonian hares, nandues (South American ostrich) and
guanacos call the steppes home. Nature and animal lovers will call this
paradise --- an immense, open, natural zoo. Let GL Tours organize a
photographic safari for you. |
