| The Bay Island archipelago is located approximately 30 miles off the Caribbean Coast. It is formed by 3 major islands: Roatan, Utila and Guanaja, as well as by several islets such as Santa Elena, Morat and Barbareta. The islands are located on the second largest Barrier Reef in the world and offer spectacular marine life and colorful corals. Because of its environmental conditions, the Bay Islands are considered a natural marine laboratory where recreational activities are combined with scientific investigations. | |
