Galapagos Islands

The Galapagos archipelago has been described as magical, enchanting and
hypnotizing. Located 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, these islands
have a geographic isolation that has contributed to the development of a
unique and colorful array of plant and animal life that represent a
“crossroads in evolution.” |

 |
When travelers return from visiting the Galapagos
Islands, their eyes sparkle with wonder as they tell marvelous tales.
You may think their stories are pure fabrication: birds that no longer
fly, tortoises weighing up to 500 pounds, Antarctic penguins living
right on the equator, blue-footed booby birds doing sophisticated mating
dances. |

|
You would be wrong. The Galapagos Islands
are just as amazing as everyone says. Your Galapagos accommodations are aboard one of the many authorized Galapagos
cruise vessels. We recommend a 4 or 7 night cruise. |

IMPORTANT: Visitors must be in reasonable physical
condition since transfers from the cruise boats to the islands are done
safely by tender boats and landings are direct to the volcanic rock or
into the water, sometimes waist deep. The trails are sometimes across
rough volcanic terrain. |
