The Sarapiqui region is a large fertile plain consisting mostly of primary and secondary rainforests. Visitors can enjoy tours of Tirimbina Rainforest Reserve, La Selva Reserve, a banana plantation, aerial tram tours, whitewater rafting, bird watching and hiking.
